My Story
I became a parent in 2020. This birth was difficult, but it didn't have to be. The Pandemic heightened my feelings of confusion and loneliness during my pregnancy and birth, and I longed for a community of support. When connecting with other Covid-parents, I saw how negatively this isolation impacted all of us. Birth is an experience no one should have to do alone. As a Doula, I can provide the emotional, physical, and informational support I wish I had. I'm a fierce advocate for my clients and their preferences, and create a nurturing and empowering space for emerging parents.

When I'm not helping people out, I live in Petaluma with my husband, two kids, and cat. I love trying new recipes, spending quality time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors by hiking or rowing on the river, and living a life full of cheesy diet and wordplay.
My Practice
At the heart of my Doula practice is a respect for the history and traditions of the Doula profession. I am passionate about honoring the legacy of the birthers who have come before us, and preserving the cultural significance of birth. I believe that everyone has the right to access quality care that is respectful of their cultural background, beliefs, identity, and values.
I have my BA in Physical Anthropology, rooted in a deep curiosity about the human body. I love to nerd out with my clients over the hows and whys of what it takes to grow and birth a human.
I strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that puts my clients at ease and helps them feel comfortable sharing their hopes, fears, and concerns. I harmonize tradition and modern care for my clients' personalized birth experience.
Certifications & Training
I am a Certified Doula and Rights Informed Birth Advocate through Cornerstone Birthwork Training and DONA International. I accept Medi-Cal insurance, and am contracted with both Kaiser and Partnership. As a Certified Doula, I adhere to the highest standards of professional training and practice, and am committed to continuing education.

I take pride in offering evidence based care and staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field. I believe in the power of informed decision making and aim to provide my clients with the knowledge and resources they need to make decisions that align with their values and preferences.
I also think birth is incredibly interesting, so I am always consuming content on birth and perinatal care. As a result, I offer my clients access to a rich library of resources in articles, podcasts, videos, infographics, and more should they like additional information on a topic. I am also well-connected to the North Bay perinatal community, and provide my clients with trusted referrals.
